We Sell Industrial Forklift Battery Batteries which usually consist of the following components: - Forklift Battery Battery Case. The battery casing houses individual battery cells. The number of cells can range from six to 36, depending on voltage. Voltage is usually 12, 24, 36 or 48 volts. - Forklift Battery Batteries. The battery cell is basically small, an individual battery consisting of a series of tightly stacked tin plates filled with sulfuric acid. - Forklift Battery Batteries. The battery blade is a large tin rod that connects individual cells, creating a complete circuit. - Forklift Battery Battery Cable. These cables can vary in size from a 4-gauge wire, which is approximately the diameter of a pencil, all the way up to a 4/0 cable that can be more than one inch in diameter. A strong cable is needed to handle high electrical currents that can be produced by several batteries. Some batteries can have an amp rating of 1,200 amps. A typical arc welder requires only 250-300 amps to melt and weld thick steel. You can see why large cables are very important for operation.
